Description

Hexagon Group are looking to recruit a Head of Estates and Environmental on behalf of their client Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust as their retained recruitment partner.  

 

The Trust is based across the North West Region with sites covering Manchester, Oldham, Stockport, Trafford and Tameside.

They are a growing Catholic Academy Trust which currently consists of 7 schools and will grow over the next few years to up to 70 schools as more come online. These are a range of Primary and High Schools and the aim of the trust is to provide a safe and conducive environment which supports learning whilst also embracing the Catholic Faith and values. There will be significant investment made in the trust and a key part of the role is to support their Capital Projects Programme and help the trust become more sustainable, whilst developing and writing the estates strategy.  

 

You will be responsible for writing the estates strategy and FM specifications, where you will tender services for service provider responses. The estate currently has a mix of in-house FM operatives and outsourced providers.  

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

  • Estates Strategy and implementation 
  • Sustainability plan and implementation 
  • Management of budgets 
  • Capital Projects Management 
  • Writing business cases for the board 
  • Creating of the forward maintenance programme 
  • Engagement and management of various FM contractors including procurement experience 
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and government agencies 
  • Budget forecasting and management 

 

There is due to be several capital projects taking place across the estate, so it is vital that you have experience of managing capital projects.  

 

The ideal candidate will hold the following: 

 

  •  Qualification in FM, Building Services, Construction or Business and will have previously managed a large multi-site portfolio with budgetary responsibility, or demonstrable experience.  
  • Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH 
  • Ability to pass a DBS check 

 

This is an urgent role which is paying between £53,000 to £55,000 dependent on experience.
