Description

Hexagon Group are excited to be working with an established property management company that has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to be based at a sizeable, mixed-use asset in East London. The asset offers a diverse mix of commercial and operational spaces, and the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day management and smooth running of the property. The salary for this role is up to £50,000 plus company benefits and future opportunities to progress your career.

The role will involve acting as a key point of contact for occupier queries and day-to-day operational matters, whilst supporting the management of on-site service partners and contractors to ensure a consistently high standard of service. You will assist with health and safety across the asset, including completing relevant inspections and responding to any issues that arise, as well as monitoring PPM schedules and ensuring reactive works are dealt with promptly and effectively. The role will also provide support with the management of service charge budgets and expenditure, occupier engagement initiatives, compliance and wider building operations. You will also deputise for the Operations Manager when required.

Ideally, you will have previous experience working within property or facilities management, with experience gained within a commercial or mixed-use environment. You should have a good understanding of building operations and contractor management, alongside a strong customer service focus and the ability to work effectively within a busy and demanding environment. An industry-recognised health and safety qualification such as IOSH would be advantageous, as would previous exposure to service charge budgets.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that prides itself on developing its people and offers genuine opportunities for career progression. The role would suit an Assistant Building Manager, Assistant Facilities Manager or similar candidate who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain greater exposure across a sizeable, mixed-use asset.
