Facilities Manager

Brighton

£40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Hexagon Group have an exciting opportunity to work directly for a privately owned real estate investment & development company based in Brighton. Our client is hiring for a Facilities Manager, which is a newly created position for the business, and you will form part of the in-house property management team, managing their mixed-use property portfolio consisting of multi-tenanted offices, retail parks, and industrial estates.

Across their property portfolio, some properties are managed through external managing agents, whom you will be managing, the remaining properties are managed in-house, where you will be providing a full property management service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out regular site visits, whilst liaising with your tenants / clients regarding any issues that occur
  • Liaising with external property consultancies, and ensuring they are managing assets to an agreed standard.
  • Production and management of each properties service charge budget
  • Oversight of all site health & safety, and ensuring statutory compliance is completed.
  • Driving energy & sustainability initiatives across the company's property portfolio
  • Management of on-site service partners, both hard & soft services
  • Liasing with contractors in relation to any reactive issues, ensuring these are dealt with promptly; along with overseeing the PPM schedules.
  • Managing any fit-out projects, or refurbishments and liaising with internal & external teams

You will ideally hold several years' experience managing a mixed-use portfolio of properties on behalf of a managing agent or a property investment company. Within your experience, you will have previously set and managed service charge budgets, be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of health & safety / statutory compliance and have a strong knowledge of both hard & soft services.

Furthermore, you will ideally hold an industry recognised qualification such as an IOSH, NEBOSH or IWFM Certificate and due to this role requiring you to travel around sites, you will hold a valid UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle.
