Assistant Building Manager
9 - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hexagon Group are delighted to partner with a leading real estate company who are recruiting for an Assistant Building Manager on a 9 - 12 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for managing 2 small, multi-tenanted properties based in Reading. You will form part of a large building management team, where you will have the opportunity to continue to learn and develop. Although this role is a fixed term contract, there is the possibility that this could turn permanent.
Your time will be spent working across these 2 buildings, interacting with the various tenants, and attending to any issues when they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out site inspections and ensuring each property is presentable and there are no issues.
- Support the property management team with the production / management of the associated service charge budgets.
- Responsible for each buildings statutory compliance and overseeing general health & safety of each site; using the allocated systems in place.
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service to your tenants and clients.
- Working with the relevant internal teams on matters such as ESG, project works, etc
- Overseeing the delivery of both hard & soft services, through on-site service partners
- Responsible for using systems such as Proactis, RiskWise, and Elogbooks.
The ideal candidate will have some experience within the facilities & property management sector, whether this be assisting with the management of a single site property or assisting with the management of a larger portfolio. You will ideally hold an IOSH certificate, have strong knowledge of building compliance and be familiar with some of the property management systems mentioned above. In addition to your experience, you will be able to demonstrate a high level of customer service and be passionate about pursuing a career within facilities management.
