This opportunity will suit an Assistant Building Manager who is seeking their first role working as a Facilities Manager, or a Facilities Manager who's responsible for a small portfolio of properties; and is keen to forge a career within building management. The long-term aspiration for the successful candidate is to eventually move internally to manage a building of your own; with this in mind, there will be lots of training on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Facilities Manager with the day to day management of the asset
- Act as a key point of contact for any tenant queries
- Ensuring statutory compliance is up to date, and any health & safety issues are dealt with.
- Supervising on-site service partner, both hard & soft services
- Ensure the PPM schedule requirements are undertaken and dealing with any reactive issues in a promptly fashion.
- Assisting the management team producing the service charge budget
- Working with the Senior Facilities Manager with the management of fit-outs and replacement projects.
Ideally, you will have previous experience working as an Assistant Building Manager within a multi-tenanted building or have worked as a Facilities Manager managing a small mixed-use portfolio and seeking a slightly different role. You will be knowledgeable of health & safety protocols; this will ideally be backed up with an IOSH certificate and you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of hard services. Furthermore, if you understand service charge budgets, this may put you at an advantage.
